I've never been this careful about measuring ingredients, but I wanted to be a little quick with Thanksgiving baking. It was well packaged and covered in blue foil except for the scale so it still shines when you receive it. The tare option works well - just fill in your measurements and then click 'tare', so if you add ingredients they won't be included in the weight. You can measure in different formats (grams, kilograms, pounds and ounces, fluid ounces and milliliters) which will definitely come in handy in my home. My husband plans to use it for pool chemistry and acrobatics. Obviously his other scales don't reach 22 pounds, but does he really have to? Of course. In general, the scales are very accurate and do not take up much space.
