We recently switched from incandescent to LED recessed lighting in our living room. on, too dark with off. This LED backlight strip is amazing. We have a 54" Panasonic Plasma TV and the strip fits perfectly. Our TV is on a stand on a console (not on the wall). I've read that elsewhere so I'll repeat it here: get one blue masking tape to temporarily attach the lightstrip to make sure it's in the right place About 8 thin pieces hold it well (don't cover LEDs!) so it can always be easily moved again and again once it's in the right place , just use the adhesive materials that came with it. I powered my receiver which has two switched outlets so when the receiver turns on the strip turns on too. I installed a built in switch behind the TV in case I turn it off The lights themselves are amazing Bright and excellent color balance Very impressed with the product Update: I switched the lights on last night tried and they are just amazing. I managed to adjust their placement and now the light is even around the entire perimeter (the strip has been moved from the top third to about the middle of the TV). Because of this, instead of the dimly lit built-in light, colors really pop and blacks are really deep. That's the first thing my daughter noticed.
