Dog Trainers HATE YOU!

Pros and cons TL;DR:PROS - Affordable price compared to harnesses. - many color options for all packaging - detailed and complete instructions - product arrived as promised. - Reduce or instantly eliminate most, if not all, of your walking cravings. - human. CONS - My labrador has a very short snout and this didn't seem to allow her to open her mouth as often as she wanted. She can still eat, drink water, and play with her, so it's not a big deal, but it's something to think about. A little background story. Every day I walk a 75 pound German Shepherd and a 70 pound Labrador Retriever. I'm quite a big guy so I never really took offense when my dogs pulled on me a bit when they were puppies and that inevitably led to some terrible habits. I've resigned myself to getting a good shoulder workout every time I take them out. We've used full body harnesses that attach to the back, but all they did was give my dogs more leverage. I tried with training and patience, but I was at the end of the line. (HA). I'm naturally against collars because it's not my dog's fault that I've been a bad owner all along. Enter the gentle leader. I'll admit that the product doesn't come out of the box, but the instructions and DVD explain everything very well. Putting it on and holding on to my dogs wasn't easy until I got it adjusted properly, but once I found it they couldn't shake it off or paw it off. It is recommended that your dogs get used to it by giving them a reward for wearing it repeatedly. Well, my dogs love to take them for walks, so I used them as treats when they first put them on. After about 100 yards of shaking and fumbling, they overcame the noseband. We encountered numerous children, dogs and cars. I didn't even get a pull, let alone the usual hard pull that would accompany those opportunities without a soft guide. This immediately took my dogs from level D for walking to B+. Hopefully we can get to A very soon. Honestly, this is one of the best purchases I've ever made from Revain, right after my $17 XL Furminator.
