Update:. About two days later I wanted to touch something on the Christmas tree and received a fairly strong discharge of static electricity from a lightbulb. Now this particular light bulb responds and stays on even if I turn off the light. I have to turn it off to make it turn off! In addition, the indicator remains red or green and does not change to the appropriate setting. I tried to inspect it but got another hit from another lightbulb which isn't working properly now either! It does not appear to be safe, especially around children! --------------- These lights work well and the 'bulbs' are larger than most and very bright. The remote works well and has an impressive range. Would be great for a Christmas party! The only thing that let me down was the lack of a multicolored take that didn't involve intense blinking or movement. I really just wanted to set up the normal multicolored lights. Even a slight flicker would be fine, but the Fixed/Normal setting only works with spot colors. They're fun and the kids love them, but they're too exciting for my liking, so I might buy something else in time. Personal preference aside, the product works and is 5 stars!
