This screen worked great for 18 months while I was away from work and in the middle of a project when it stopped working. The zzz sleep screen appeared. After researching the Asus website, searching the forums and reading the manual, I decided to buy another cable. This worked for several hours until this worked. It looks like a problem with the port. I didn't purchase an extended warranty and wish I had one. Because this is an extension monitor, the port must support repeated connects and disconnects. My laptop is older than this one and is fine. While I had it the picture was great and 18 months is a long time in the world of technology. However, a year and a half is not enough for a device of this price to stop working.
