The chair is as described and the cushion is thick but it just doesn't adjust the way I want. I'm 5'3" and my knees are too far apart and when it's adjusted the seat is too reclined and when the seat is lowered to recline less it's all too low. Sitting in this chair was causing pain in my knees, my hips and the only thing that wasn't terrible was my back, while it saves my back, it's absolute HELL for my hips and knees, even with all the fuss c my dad bought an early version of this design when I was little and it worked fine (little changed with this design then), however he is much taller and so it's possible his legs were long enough to be properly lulled in without bending his knees does the brace below the knees really need to be longer to keep the shins from dangling in space which I think is another reason all my leg joints were getting tired they couldn't stop sliding instead of staying put in a position (ex. B. healthy, ergonomic).
