Good for Drawing

White colored pencils have many uses, but I like them for highlighting when working with graphite or charcoal. These pencils do the job perfectly. Attached is a graphite sketch of an icon of St. Nicholas demonstrating the work of this pencil as this icon has deep illumination over the entire surface. The white markers work great on most drawing paper and are a little creamier than some white pencils. They come well sharpened - which is a good thing as they shouldn't be sharpened with a regular pencil sharpener. The packaging warns about this, but I had to check. Using my electric sharpener was a bad idea so be warned! This pencil sharpens fairly well with a small hand sharpener that cuts with a blade. All in all a good buy and enough quality white charcoal pencils to last quite a while - as long as you keep them away from pencil sharpeners.

Pros
  • Wide Application - White pen can be used as a transfer pen. Ideal for blackboard, dark wood, stone. Universal Charcoal White rubs off, rinses off with water and a brush and sets without smudging or fading. Charcoal white pencil for beginners, artists.
