battery compartment problem.
I put the required four AA batteries in the compartment but the sharpener didn't work. After a little inspection, it turned out that the compartment is longer than the total length of the AA batteries, so the metal parts in contact with the batteries don't touch. I fixed it with a small welder. After warming up the plastic holder, I removed the metal piece from the back of the battery cover and bent it a bit to touch the batteries. Then I attached a piece of metal to the battery cover. Now the sharpener works.
