I bought two of these devices (NetGear Netgear R8000 Nighthawk X6 Ac3200 Tri-Band WiFi Gigabit Cable Router). I bought one for the home and one for the office about a year apart. I probably should have checked my head after the first one. The second router, ordered on February 3, 2021, worked for about a day. I contacted tech support who advised me multiple times to restart my device. (They had no idea how to fix this machine). So I calmed her down. We then went through several cycles of randomly downloading older versions of their firmware from their website and trying (try keyword) to find one of the older versions that would work. After downloading it from a website and uploading it to the router to try to send the wireless signal at over 8ft power. (Yes I said 8 feet) It failed miserably. I returned the device and received an identical device that was a certified refurbished device. I never expected to receive a used block in exchange for a new one. I've had this unit for about a month, it just expired for the last time. Because this device was designed for the office with relatively low usage and expected reliability. I couldn't take it anymore, hours of tech support, no device during an exchange and no working device at all. I went and bought (TP-Link AX6000 WiFi 6 Router (Archer AX6000) - WiFi Router, 8 Stream WiFi Router, 2.5G WAN Port, 8Gigabit LAN Ports, MU-MIMO , 1.8GHz quad-core) and didn't could be happier. This is a cool router. Follow my example, save $50 and get it right the first time. As a side note, TP-Link AX6000 WiFi 6 Router has a very simplified user interface that is fully functional and easier to use.
