Much better than expected.
Excellent reception and fairly easy setup. It gets good reception with the standard antenna, but I hooked it up to my J-Pole which I've optimized for GMRS/UHF ham. WOW, that's over 70 channels on 2m, in the air and of course 440+. Weather radio and FM are good too. I wish there was a way to just turn the knob to set FM, but that's fine. It seems to be of good quality, comfortable knobs and buttons, it has a backup battery, and now I use it as an alarm clock. The sound isn't bad for a small speaker, and it's LOUD. Great for the price, couldn't be happier. For those looking to start scanning, this pup is a great and inexpensive way to get started.
