Review on πŸ’¨ ATP Automotive Graywerks 101122 Exhaust Manifold/Catalytic Converter: Efficient Exhaust System Upgrade by Domonic Roberts

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No complaints yet; be sure to do your homework.

After years of running my Civic LX 98 with a cracked manifold, I finally decided to replace it. The ATP was almost an exact factory fit (see pics uploaded) and arrived exactly as described. The kit included new gaskets (mounting to the block and down tube), new hardware to mount the down tube, a new heat shield and bolts, and a warranty card. Manifold and catalytic converter are already installed. My only complaint is that the catalytic converter seemed to be mounted too close to the bottom of the engine, causing it to touch the engine compartment and compress the heat shield. The compressed heat shield combined with the larger nuts to connect to the downtube made the nuts more difficult to tighten, but eventually worked. Overall it was really good and I'm glad my exhaust leak is fixed. At the same time I replaced the O2 sensors with some Bosch sensors (Bosch 13007 oxygen sensor, OE trim and Bosch 13249 oxygen sensor, OE trim) which I checked separately. Oil with good penetrating power in order not to damage the mounting bolts in the cylinder block. I used a PB blaster and thankfully didn't break a single bolt. I've seen countless cases where people weren't so lucky. Final verdict: I recommend the ATP exhaust manifold based on my limited experience with it since I installed it two days ago. The real test will be how long it lasts. I hope my review helps someone.

Cons
  • Good, but not great
