I needed a cable to replace the OEM cable that came with my Bose QC35s. Yes, yes, I know the QC35 has Bluetooth, but I've been experimenting with using my computer for phone calls, which also uses my Blue Yeti mic. I was told there was a lot of echo when using external speakers and a mic, so I tried connecting the QC35 to the Yeti with the included audio cable - and it was fantastic with two complaints: The length of the cable allowed a lot left a lot to be desired, and I picked up interference from some sort of external source that looked like a hum that was noticeable to other people on the call. I ordered this 9ft cable and am very happy with this aspect. This. I was hoping that with the extra length I could reconnect the audio cable to whatever was causing the interference, but to no avail. Sometimes I can make it go away by manually moving the cable, but any cable movement inevitably brings the hum back. My boss commented on the buzz today because it was so loud. After a few days of experimenting, I ordered a shielded cable from another company. Overall the cable is very good - the looks and design appear to be good and I believe it is of a higher quality than the one that came with the QC35s. (no surprise). I just can't get it to work with my semi-unique setup. Hopefully shielding another cable will help me. I will reuse this cable for another purpose (and thankfully).
