This set of tools is quite successful. You get some good tools mixed in with some bad ones. When you are ready to clear everything, you can start with a good grade. Good things first: the cutting mat that you get with this kit is great. The thickness can withstand the impact of a hammer and stitch forks, but if you're using a rotary knife, be careful not to press too hard or it may cut through. A handy tool for edging and grooving. There are better ones, but a steal for the price! The polisher that comes with this kit is fine. I ended up sanding it with 500 grit sandpaper which helped get good results in my projects. The rotating knife is sharp as expected, but it's cheap and the blade comes from you, don't tighten the screw. the back. Other than that, it performs well for the price. The Bad: The abrasive blade you get is sharp, but dulls quickly, even when used on fair skin. I've found it fills up within a use or two after sharpening. That's pretty much crap, IMO. To be honest the whole puncher didn't work well at all. I've tried it with several different skins and on several different surfaces and it just doesn't cut it. The flows that the set came with were nothing short of a headache, although I think that's more due to the tools provided than the rivets themselves. I don't use the rest of this set. Finally, the leather that comes with the kit is rubbish in my opinion. That being said, I don't think anyone will buy it for the leather it contains. All in all, it's a worthwhile purchase for someone just starting out, but it won't last long if you plan to expand beyond startup projects. If this is a hobby you really want to pursue, my advice is to buy quality stuff.
