I had a problem with my fridge so I needed a way to prove it wasn't working properly so I bought this thermometer (pack of 2) and put one in the Fridge freezer the other is also from the fridge side. I also put another thermometer in the fridge from my other fridge to compare the accuracy. Both thermometers show the same. I took temperature readings, called GE service and told them what was wrong and they arranged for a repair. After calling for service I checked the thermometer to make sure the fridge was working. The great thing about a thermometer is that it's color coded so you can quickly open the door and see if the fridge is working without guessing so you can get the technician back faster. The thermometer looks good. It is well made and can hang from a trellis or stand on a shelf. I can definitely recommend the thermometer. Quality product at a great price
