Really nice product but we had a few issues with it.

You definitely get what you pay for with this product, which means you are paying for a beautiful but somewhat problematic piece of furniture. The finished product looks fantastic. I like the deep rich color. The adjustable shelves allow me to arrange things in a variety of ways. Our TV sits on it very comfortably while we wait for the wall mount. He just looks great! It wasn't difficult to assemble; I did it all on my own in under an hour, and I'm definitely not a very "handy" woman. The instructions were clear enough and everything fitted together well. However, there were several problems. First, three pieces - the top board, the left side board, and one of the middle vertical boards - had absolutely horrible scratches and scuffs. There were two scratches on the top panel that really can't be covered, there is a palm sized spot on the side panel that appears to have been rubbed until the coating was almost completely ripped off, and there is that on the center panel same. same problem. Maybe those two boards frayed somehow at some point on the way to my house (the box was very badly damaged on arrival, the pieces had been ripped out, there was a big hole in the middle, the corners were all badly dented, we actually thought that we had to return it unopened, but luckily the product itself was mostly intact). It was disappointing but I did my best to hide the damaged areas. The opposite external board also had a problem; it was separated from the panel at the corner. Most of the time I managed to fix it with wood glue, but of course it would have been better if it hadn't broken in the first place. The little pins that hold the shelves up tend to fall to the floor when nobody's around - maybe we have a furniture ghost? Rschunimagu. It's just uncomfortable, not a big problem. I'll probably wrap some cut tape or whatever around each rod to make them stay in their holes better. On the plus side, we have six fabric storage cubes that are perfect for the two outer columns. We use middle space to store our vinyl records and they are perfect for storage too. The center of the room is currently just a basket full of random items, but I'm sure I'll find something cute there quickly. It looks really good, it's the right size to look solid without looking too big or taking up a lot of floor/viewing space. It's relatively solid, just don't lean on it too much. I can put my 35 lb toddler on it (as long as I'm holding onto it of course) and it doesn't move or bend at all. In fact, we haven't had any tilting issues so far, despite our TV being quite light. So, if you don't want to spend a fortune but want really nice furniture that has many uses. Enough for almost any use you can think of, this is definitely what you need! Just ignore the potential damage or find a clever way to hide it and this item will look like it costs at least twice what it really is. Definitely worth your money! In general, we are very satisfied and plan to buy a similar product (though from a different seller) for our son's room!
