Review on 🔊 Enhanced SONY STR-DE695 A/V Receiver for Remarkable Home Theater Audio System by Courtney Grant

Recently my vintage 1992 Sony STR-D595 receiver stopped blinking. So I was willing to replace it with something as modern as possible (without breaking the bank). The STR-DE695 definitely offers 6.1ch and HD pass component video capabilities. I only have two real complaints about this receiver. The AM radio part lacks real sensibility. Only the strongest stations will get through, and that's assuming you have a decent antenna. (Unfortunately, this is a common problem with many lower-end receivers.) If you live in a rural area and depend on good AM reception, this receiver isn't for you. Other user manual. Although I read it cover to cover before using the receiver, there are many areas it doesn't cover. The universal multifunction remote control isn't well explained, but works well once you get used to it. I have several components from different brands and this remote will handle most of them fairly well. (If your stereo components are more than 10 years old, you may find that the included remote control isn't as effective.) All in all: great sound, great features at a great price!
