Using instant coffee and tea brewing systems resulted in GERD so severe that even prescription drugs couldn't help. I started looking for a way to drink fresh iced tea without the excess acidity. I also needed something without a power cord to take on cruise ships, since coffee pots, kettles, and other small appliances are now banned there. This is the third "cold brew" system I've tried and finally I'm satisfied and recommend it. I like the fresh taste, the glass jug (no chemical leakage) and how easy it is to clean. The filter still looks white. I needed it to easily open and remove with arthritis in my hands. Even a child can unscrew it and the seal is tight. My only suggestion would be that someone make a soft, waterproof tote bag for us serious travelers who want to pack it in our suitcases when we travel.
