Toilet brushes are pretty gross just for what they're used for, but when the brush is completely rusted it looks really gross, although it's natural for metal to rust when wet becomes. What I love about this brush is that it has no metal parts at all, so it looks fresh and clean and doesn't rust or look rough. Handle and base are made entirely of plastic; The handle consists of two plastic pieces that screw together, which is very convenient as the two piece design of the handle allows the seller to ship this item in a neat little box. The parts of the handle are well matched, the handle is strong and durable. But what I really like about this toilet brush is that the brush itself is silicone, which means the plastic bristles aren't held together by metal wire, meaning nothing can rust. The silicone bristles are thicker than regular plastic toilet bristles, and the overall shape of the brush is slightly different from the rough, rusty brush I threw in the trash, so it takes a bit of getting used to the different feel of the silicone brush when used. There is, but it cleans effectively and I have no complaints. it directs the water to the bottom of the base, away from the brush, and keeps the brush slightly above the base of the base so the brush is out of the water when not in use. Again, this helps minimize the "gross factor" and I think it also helps the water evaporate. I haven't tried the sticky holder as I'd rather hide the toilet brush in my closet than leave it lying around. The brush at the base fits nicely in my closet, although I'm glad the handle isn't longer or too high. The adhesive mount doesn't look good, but since I haven't tried it I can't comment on how well it works. The seller sent a package of disposable gloves, which is very nice! Overall, I think this silicone toilet brush is a big improvement over toilet brushes that have metal parts and get so rough and rusty. Although the feel of use is different, the brush cleans very well and doesn't take long to get used to. I am planning to replace the toilet brushes in the other two bathrooms with one of these.
