I've been using them for several years now. It's 18 hours a day to my ears. I hardly know it's there. You need to cut the tubing to fit your head. They only last 6-9 months before the wire breaks, which is exactly what I would expect for a low price. I've used expensive ones that didn't last as long. Noise reduction indications are most likely due to moisture in the acoustic tube. I used to try drying them, but now I just have extra tubes on hand. Replacement tubes are inexpensive. For $30 you can get 2 sets of headphones and 5 extra handsets.
