Saves energy and ensures peace of mind.

I am very happy with this purchase! After seeing all the negative reviews I was hesitant to purchase this product but I'm glad I took the plunge and bought it anyway. into the device and press the timer button once for 2 hours (the lamp flashes 1 time for confirmation), twice for 5 hours (the lamp flashes 2 times for confirmation), three times for 8 hours (the lamp flashes 3 times) and four times for light detection from dusk to dawn (light flashes 4 times). Easy! I have had it installed in my porch light with a 40w led bulb for about a month now and it has worked exactly as advertised. From initial installation it was set to detect light from dusk to dawn so I can't comment on the timer capabilities but so far it has done just that, turning on just after sunset every day without exception and switched off after sunrise. I see a potential issue with the extra length the device adds between the fixture and the bulb. (about 2 inches), but if you keep that in mind and plan accordingly, the benefit of not having to worry about turning the lights on or off, not to mention the added safety and energy savings, outweighs any minor cosmetic ones shortcomings by far. The bulb portion may not sit perfectly in the center of the fixture. It seems that most of the main complaints about negative reviews are related to malfunctions or a faulty light sensor, but I've also noticed that most of these reviews are several years old. Maybe Westek heard her screams and fixed the problem? One can only hope.
