This film can be used for many purposes including protecting the vehicle you are transporting. I got it to help with the bodywork and paint job I'm doing on my pickup truck. There are thin plastic sheets for this that don't stick, but I wanted to attach the sticky plastic sheet so it doesn't splatter around the car while I stay where I put it. This case is perfect for that. There is no glue on it and it just sticks to the shiny surface like a painted body. After that I was able to easily remove it and throw it away - and I have plenty left on the roll for other projects. Although I didn't need it for this, I love that a UV inhibitor is built in. So if you pack a vehicle or boat and leave it in the sun, it will last for 6 months.
