Review on Enhanced Sony ICD-BX140 4GB Digital Voice Recorder for Advanced Recording Experience by Jon Estell

Very happy with this recorder. What I like the most is the separate "Folder" button. With my old Sony recorders I had to go through the menu to switch folders. This makes it easy to categorize messages into different topics. Also, this recorder has 5 folders instead of 4 on my previous recorders. One (minor) thing I don't like is that I have to slide the "Power" button and wait 4 or 5 seconds (while "Access" is flashing) for the recorder to be ready to use. This is required if you have not used the voice recorder in the last 10 minutes. The sound quality is great! I leave my set in Best Mode (SHQ) and am very happy with it. My batteries lasted almost a month with active use. After putting new batteries in, I didn't have to completely reset the date, only the time. With old radios I had to completely reset the date when installing new Batts. I would advise people to write down the menu steps to do this (reset time with new batteries) instead of looking for it.
