I am amazed at the quality I get with my Panasonic Lumix GX85 and this lens. First, it's the "damn" form factor. This makes the camera even easier to use, and the GX85 is much easier to use than larger DSLRs and mirrorless cameras. An open aperture of F1.7 is good, but when you drop down to F8.0 it looks good. The GX85's stabilization is great for images with existing light. The image I've attached to this review was handheld at a shutter speed of 1/15th of a second. In order to achieve more depth of field, I opted for F8.0 (of course, could have used F1.7 as well). In a dark place, the ISO had to be set to 6400, but I find the image more than acceptable. I have used this lens with an on camera and attached flash, it works well and there is no shadow from the lens in the frame. a photo. As a 40mm equivalent, it's a bit wide-angle, making it great for everyday street photography. Again, the small form factor makes it less intrusive. To be honest, after quite a long period of use, I could not find any defects that affect me and my photography.
