Review on Metallic Poly Deco Ribbon Yards Crafting by Heather Shaw

Not suitable for making onions. Nice for the Christmas tree and other decorations.

Nice color and good glitter on the Christmas tree! I wanted my tree to be modern but festive, without bright colors (too many). I chose white, silver, blue and red. My wooden skirt is a dark rich red so I needed a ribbon to match. It's hard to find the right red at this time of year, as most of them are the typical Christmas red. This ribbon is a darker shade of red and has some sheen (not too much in my opinion). Sometimes when there's a spark, it splatters. Not in this case. It was easy to use on my mantle and Christmas tree. The ribbon is a bit like wire. The only problem (and the main reason I bought it) is that it's very difficult to make bows out of it. To save money I make my own gifts, wreaths and decorations. I could only make one bow and had to use a lot of wire. I'm not an avid bow maker so an experienced person will have no problem. However, I did. The ribbon didn't fold the way I wanted and it was torn at the bottom when I cut it to make a V at the end (the end of the loop). Small pieces fell everywhere and were difficult to pick up. Overall, it's an affordable and beautiful band, but it's only useful for specific purposes. I wasn't planning on buying it for my tree but I'm very glad I did. I have used it on my 7.5ft tree and my 7ft mantle. I also made a giant bow for the wreath and there is still some left on the roll.
