I was very skeptical when I bought this - relatively cheap product to be able to cut wine bottles? But I took the risk and I'm very happy about it! I do decorations for my wedding and use a ton of wine bottles and the blade has held up great so far (they also included a spare blade). I find it useful to score multiple times around the bottle (in the same place). course) with enough pressure. We also neglected to pour ice water over the counting line, which I think the instructions recommend. Instead, we filled the line with hot water for 60 seconds, then dunked the bottle in ice water until it burst. Be careful not to pour the hot water past the gumline as this will cause the bottle to break along its entire length. Sometimes the cuts come out a little more uneven than I was hoping, but we sand for safety and a few bumps. some other places are good enough for our purposes! Very happy with this product, highly recommended.
