Wart style two stage wall charger works as advertised: charges at 0.5 amps until it reaches 14.6 volts then turns red off and turns green then stays at 13.7B. If the battery voltage drops Below that the charge will resume etc. So it can be used to keep the battery at a constant/intermittent low current load. What some buyers fail to realize is that a low price usually indicates poor quality control, so some bounce rate is expected. Therefore, it would be advisable for each user to test its performance by monitoring the charge cycle upon first use and periodically thereafter. Also use SLA batteries < 5 Ah with caution. My device got a little warm while charging, but nothing out of the ordinary. I would say that the quality of this device is above average; and if a component fails, you can at least take it apart easily and possibly replace what has failed.
