I had a much more expensive power supply in my basement but it was for active feedback cable TV. Not suitable for antenna applications as feedback is actually transmitted through the antenna and can cause RF interference in the area. I needed a small but powerful amplifier in the attic next to the antenna and this was just what I needed. The amp works as advertised. You get about 12 dB. With the supplied adapter you can supply the power supply remotely or connect the device directly. The included instructions say the remote can work up to 100 feet of wire, FYI. I get more channels with this amp than with a pro drop amp that costs over 3 times as much. My scanned channels went from 52 to 63. But to be fair this amp was installed next to the antenna in the attic and the other outboard amp was installed in the basement after running 20 meters of cable so the signal is degrading by then would have . it came to the drop amp. Therefore, it is important to place such an amplifier as close to the antenna as possible. This amp is well made and works perfectly. It's not very big for what it does, so it can be installed in small spaces. In general, this money is excellent.
