I don't have data to compare how fresh they keep food compared to a well known brand but they seem to last a long time so I think they will do the job . They functioned like a corporate brand. The first thing I sealed with it was soup and it worked great. The only difference I see from the brand name is that they don't have a place to tag. But I just marked the plastic with a felt tip pen, so it's okay.
