for the first time worked fine for 15 minutes then the monitor went off like there was no signal and the computer didn't show more the presence of an additional monitor. Tried with two different monitors - one via HDMI and one via VGA. None of them worked, although they were fine through other adapters or directly. So this thing literally died in less than an hour. The Amazon return period has expired, but I will try to contact the seller. Update: I contacted the seller and as to their credit they responded very quickly. They gave me a full refund because I had already purchased an alternative product and still sent myself a replacement for that product. For this reason I'm increasing my score from 1 to 3, but to be clear I haven't tested the replacement and I wouldn't expect it to be much better. Judging by the reviews, there's a quality control issue at best, while a significant number come out worse. However given their responsiveness and great customer service I think it's worth the risk and hope you get a good one and that it lasts. I myself switch to well-known brands, even if that means I have to have multiple adapters to get the equivalent. Lightning strike. And imagine - it didn't work at all. At first it seemed to work with the HDMI input, but then I tried DVI and it didn't work, and then even HDMI that worked at first stopped working. Garbage. Back to 1 star. You could send me 5 of these for free and I would take them.
