I actually have them on hand to fix our camping gear. I can see where they could have done a good job on our dining awning after our campground neighbors burned a hole in it with their fire! It is also perfect for our camping chairs. We have a tool tent so if we ever need a refurb this would be perfect. As I said, I wanted to be prepared for future setbacks. I was trying to mend my husband's jeans. He was on his knees and just couldn't hold on. I don't think they were intended for that purpose. There was too much movement and wear and tear in this area. I still think they will work. I love that they give you many colors. They are part of our stock of emergency equipment.
