This is a compact 5" x 2 1/2" surge protector/extender that is best suited for travel or where a short cord length is required. This is a multifunction device with 4 USB ports and 2 3-pin AC outputs. Including the end of the connector but not including the pins, the total cable size is 9 3/4 inches; ie measured from the extension cord to the outlet cover. and a short cable. When not in use, the power cord and plug fit snugly against the outside of the band, making it pocket-sized perfect for a suitcase or drawer. I've only used AC outlets, so I can't confirm USB charging capability. I took off 1 star as I can't confirm USB charging capability, but it's just what I needed.
