This is a great kit, although inexpensive. I loved the case which has the foam cut out to form the hardware that protects it when thrown in the car or wherever you go. This makes the sound clearer compared to the sound of a mobile phone. The biggest problem I had was that the instructions weren't very clear as to which direction the cable should go and I kept plugging the gray end into the mic, but it MUST go to the phone. If you want to use it on an iPhone, be sure to buy an adapter as it doesn't come with a Lightning or USB-C connector. Plus, it's a great inexpensive kit that will boost your audio input. Using on an iPhone device: Step 1 - Connect the 3.5mm TRS jack (black audio jack) to the microphone. Step 2 - Connect 3.5mm TRRS. (gray audio jack) to the original Lightning 3.5mm adapter. The microphone and gray audio jack connect to the adapter. 2. To avoid interference, make sure your phone's wifi is off and airplane mode is best. 3. To listen to the recording, mute the microphone on your smartphone or other compatible device and click play. 4. Make sure the Apple Lightning adapter cable you purchased supports audio input. Some cables only support audio output.
