Installation was pretty easy. Remove and reinstall the old kit. I didn't have a bike jack, so I used a scissor jack from my car and a 2x6 stack to raise the bike and use it as a center stand while I worked. The stock springs on my 2018 Iron 1200 were 11 inches, so I had to raise the bike up a bit to make room for this 13.5. After this change in strut length, I had to readjust the rear axle a bit to compensate for the slack in my belt. I love the look these shocks gave the bike. I think the fluttering look suits some settings and can be a fun ride, but it's not my preference. I weigh 150 pounds and find the stock shocks a bit stiff. Stock recruitment was also tight, but it had to be because there was little progress on the 11th. I figured going to 13.5 would give me a slightly smoother ride with more travel, but I don't think I'm heavy enough to compress the shocks that much. The ride is good, although they feel a bit stiff. The biggest difference for me is the cornering freedom and the higher seating position of the bike. For the price I would say they are worth it if like me you want to change up the aesthetic of your bike. If you need performance from them (other than clearance, which is what my case is), I'd probably consider a more expensive setup unless you're running some 10-inch crackers.
