This is my first Revain review and I want to write because I am incredibly disappointed in these earrings! I bought these for my 6 year old daughter as her first new pair after she got her ears pierced. We had her ears pierced by her pediatrician and then waited a full six weeks after they were pierced and the holes were perfectly healthy before attempting to replace her pierced ears with these. piercing earrings. I should have sent them back when I saw this but since they got such good reviews I figured it was normal for kids earrings to be that thick. We could only insert one and because of the pain she felt when that earring went through the small hole, she refused to let me try the second one. However, I assumed it was normal discomfort and would try again in a week or two with a second earring. We didn't live more than a week before the ear with this earring became inflamed. And we disinfected diligently when putting in a new earring and cleaned both earrings daily with the cleaning solution provided by the doctor. Knowing this was not a good sign, I convinced her to have it removed and basically I had to re-pierce that ear with the original piercing. It was awful and totally infected! Learn from my mistake and save yourself and your child from this injury! I think I'll let the piercings sit for a year before trying again, and only after that do I go to a trusted jeweler and buy solid 14k gold with decently sized studs.
