Review on Roof bike rack THULE ProRide 598B black by Micha Gabriel Czajko ᠌

Nightmarish quality and complete inconsistency with the description.

So, in sequence. A year ago I purchased these mounts. Launched in the spring, summer, and fall of 2022. They enjoy a winter balcony nap. This spring I observed rust stains on bike racks and rivets, as well as white patches that would not wash away. Curtains caught in the lock larvae at 2 mounts. Soil and dampness eventually made their way in, dooming the project. However, I was unable to swap out my current larvae since changing them requires purchasing an entire new set, which would cost me around $5,000. Do you Thule men have any morals? The price for 12 Chinese castle larvae is excessive. The dealer also denied the manufacturer's claim, citing a breach of the product's license agreement as the reason. And how was I to make use of them if I had mounted them in the shop immediately after purchase and left them there through the spring and fall? The question was also unresolved. The vendor told me that the T-bolts would not rust because they were galvanized. However, I saw that corrosion had begun on them after only a year of use. Anyone who claims in writing that there is no rise in fuel use is lying. It takes an extra 2–2.5 liters of gas per 100 kilometers when you have bikes in the trunk. And merely the trunk can add another half to a liter or more in the city. In-person confirmation. Don't listen to those who claim the thule trunk is silent. Anything removed from the car's structure that encounters air resistance while in motion generates noise. And after you hit 80 km/h, the noise level really starts to increase. However, the selling of the vehicle and the attempt to install the full package on another vehicle are what really drove me to write this review. The vendor informed me that the trunk will fit in another vehicle in 60% - 80% of all cases. No, that can't be right. Kit and stress needed to be shifted around. This resulted in an additional $13,000 in fees that I had to pay. The final tally (trunks plus locks) sent to Germany was still 18,000. That's how THULE sucked me in and made me a lifelong customer. Don't get duped; instead, save yourself the regret by treating yourself to something more modest. Wishing everyone safe travels!

Pros
  • This mount is outrageously pricey. This is the primary benefit enjoyed by the wealthy. Let's get the rest of the globe hooked up with a German company that makes the Thule ProRide 598 with Chinese parts and stamps it in Poland.
Cons
  • The cost is prohibitive. Over 9,000 units were purchased by me. Just three mounts and a trunk from the same manufacturer, all locked with a single key. In excess of 47,000 as a whole. For the sake of a few glowing "it's thule" reviews, this fool forked over cash. This decision has made me feel bad now.
