Review on ASUS GeForce Profile Graphics Brackets by Micha Mitrut ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No complaints, I recommend the product for purchase.

Requires two slots to install. It makes no sense to buy this card for computers with modern 6th and 7th generation Intel processors - their HD 530 or HD630 graphics cores will be more powerful. I bought a video card to upgrade an old computer with an Intel Core2 Quad processor. The old card was weak and very noisy. Fast DDR5 memory is preferable to DDR3 - it's worth paying for. The second gigabyte is not needed, but there were simply no options with 1GB DDR5 and passive cooling. I do not plan to use for modern games, only Word-Excel-Photoshop. In this mode, the card has a temperature of 50-53 degrees The card is installed on an old motherboard with PCIe of the very first version. Some sellers write about PCI Express 2.0 16x compatibility or something else - don't suffer! On the package, the manufacturer writes that you need a PCI Express slot without specifying the version and the correct PCIe driver. My PCIe works with the card in x8 mode Was looking for a fanless card in vain. The case has a pair of 120 mm fans, which operate at 700-800 rpm to reduce noise. Plus, the power supply is inexpensive, but quite high quality, has its own 120 mm fan. To my surprise, the FSP Q-Dion 80+ power supply turned out to be the quietest element of the system. Then the Zalman processor cooler goes by the noise (at a reduced 1200 rpm) and the most noisy ones turned out to be rather expensive 120 mm case fans operating at a reduced rpm of 700-800. At 1200-1300 they make a lot of noise. Hence, the idea of buying a fanless video card turned out to be wrong. It's just that I used to have a too loud card with a small fan. One could buy a card with a large, quiet fan, rather than looking for passive cooling, limiting oneself in the power of the video card. As a more budget option, you can buy a GF 730 video card with 1GB DDR3, it will still be many times more powerful than old video cards from 10 years ago. GeForce 710 do not buy - too weak processor

Pros
  • It consumes little energy, does not make noise. Suitable for upgrading old computers with PCI-E bus. Fast DDR5 memory
Cons
  • A relatively weak card for gaming by today's standards, suitable mainly for office work. I wish the price was cheaper. The second gigabyte is not needed in ordinary life - only for advertising. There are problems with installing the software - from the supplied disk it is done slowly and with creaks, sometimes the installation crashes. In addition to drivers, the Google browser and programs with an incomprehensible meaning are imposed. I put it several times on different computers, the process does not give pleasure at all. Faced the problem of crashing the driver. Quite often I suddenly see a black screen and then a phrase that the driver was terminated and restored. Tried to install and reinstall the drivers more than once - does not help. Judging by the reviews on the Internet, this is a problem of almost all GF 730 video cards from different manufacturers. Strongly annoying! Either it can work for several hours without pauses, then it constantly crashes every few minutes. It seems like they write that the old beta driver 340.43 works stably. I don’t understand!
