although it does not appear to have any effect on neck straightening.

I was concerned about the hump in my upper spine and this brace gave noticeable results in a very short time, although it didn't seem to have any effect on neck straightening, given that it bulges too much forward , like a goose. I usually wear it for about 30-40 minutes a day. Usually on the way to work. It's only uncomfortable when you're trying to bend over, so it really teaches you how to correct your posture. I also have more shoulder mobility which is a nice surprise. My shoulders were frozen and stretched backwards for years, even though I stretched with a physical therapy shoulder block every day. My only complaint is that the velcro straps were hard to reach due to my limited mobility, especially in the beginning. I'm 5ft 2in and 190lbs, I have fairly broad shoulders and it seems like this brace is too small for someone who is much taller, taller or both. The Velcro was irritating on my shoulders until I realized it was sticking too close to the outside edge of the strap (towards my arms). Be sure to tape it to the inside edge of the belt, close to your chest to avoid chafing.
