I have been using this glass french press bottle for about a month and it has always maintained proper social distancing. So I leave it to myself. Seriously, why doesn't anyone make a better glass french press that won't shatter if you drop it in the sink? My Corningware glass pans never break. Because of this, Corning sold the rights to manufacture this product and went on to other things—no need to buy new ones. I suspect the answer is the same as with airlines: when customers put cost first, quality suffers. Anyway I'm a cost conscious guy and at the time of purchase it was the lowest price in French Press Glass Refill. Category. So far it hasn't broken or matched any of the horror posts. Great if a) it doesn't fall off in the wash and b) you don't mind a nice logo on the glass.
