Minimal fading too dark, better biofocal
Don't take them for the photochromic function, they don't darken too much. Buy them for a bifocal inverted moon. That means instead of a sharp, very noticeable straight line down the center of the lens, it's upside down. That is, the bifocal region is a semicircle. Why is this an advantage? It's much less noticeable and harder for people to tell you're wearing bifocals.
