Don't buy it unless you want to over torque and destroy the valve core. I have used Steelman products in the past and liked their performance but not in this case. I've tried this tool to tighten multiple valve cores in the valve stems of different tire types and each time I felt like I was twisting and stripping the valve core A LOT. The tool should be torqued at 4 in-lbs, which is ideal as the setting torque for ISO standard yokes is 3-5 inches. I work at a facility that has a calibration lab with precision torque gauges, so I decided to test this tool to make sure it's accurate. It was wide, nearly double the advertised "4 inch pounds". Readings ranged from 6.5 to 8 in-lbs. I've noticed that the readings have changed slightly because there are some plastic ramps inside the tool that aren't quite aligned and where the plastic seems to get stuck. I will find that after 100+ clicks on the tool the torque reading has dropped to around 6.5-7psi. Judging by the cheap design of this tool and the fact that I only have one tool to test with, I can't say if all tools will work. I'm pretty sure none of these tools come close to the advertised torque. I'm sure there are better and more expensive valve core tools that will do the job well, but for now I'll just go back to my usual tightening methods to get a feel for it.
