Description of Optimized Steelman TPMS Service Tool Kit with Valve Core Torque Tool (1-Piece)

Durable torque tool safely removes and installs TR C1 valve cores into all TTV and TPMS tire valves. Meets manufacturers’ requirements for proper specifications of 4 Inch-pounds. Bright yellow handle makes tool easy to find in automotive shop. OEM recommends replacing the valve stem components and EPDM rubber seals on TMPS-equipped vehicles every time a tire is dismounted. Colors may vary.

Good durable tool for tire repair tools

I use it every day at work to change tires. The feel is firm, the color is nice and the torque works well with metal valve stems, especially straight TPMS.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Vanish

Recommended for tire repair tools

No problems after a year of use. Daily use in tire shops to remove or install valve cores to the correct torque. Exposure to various chemicals can be found in a tire shop and still holds up.

Pros
  • Tire and wheel tools
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Cheap Inaccurate Torque Tool

Don't buy it unless you want to over torque and destroy the valve core. I have used Steelman products in the past and liked their performance but not in this case. I've tried this tool to tighten multiple valve cores in the valve stems of different tire types and each time I felt like I was twisting and stripping the valve core A LOT. The tool should be torqued at 4 in-lbs, which is ideal as the setting torque for ISO standard yokes is 3-5 inches. I work at a facility that has a calibration lab

Pros
  • Tire Repair Tools
Cons
  • Useless Features
