It's actually just cellophane.
So I know it's in the name. Cellophane. But you look at it and you picture the crispy, shiny plastic that gift baskets are wrapped in, the kind that's crumpled, thick, and brightly colored. At least I did. (Apparently this is Mylar which I always thought was just metal). This is NOT that. The weight and feel of this plastic is similar to a sandwich bag or the plastic used to wrap newspapers. , as if paint had been sprayed onto clear plastic, which makes the name "Hygloss" a bit ironic to me.
