I hardly know where to start. As a longtime Revel Brooks user (I've had Revel 1, 2 and 3) I'm well versed in this particular style of shoe. I started wearing them 3 years ago as they are the only athletic shoe that has helped my plantar fasciitis. This redesign for Revel 4 is complete nonsense. They downgraded the fabric of the shoe to a very thin, thin, cheap plastic. However, my biggest complaint is that the Achilles notch (the back above the heel) no longer has any padding or padding, it has also been raised to sit higher on your ankle. These changes have two consequences: the shoe rubs on the heel when walking and does not lock the shoe well on the heel, causing friction when rubbing. This leads to heel blisters. Because of those horrible changes they made with this redesign, the shoe now fits half a size too big because they removed what helps the shoe fit snugly to your foot (thicker quality fabric as well as a soft Achilles notch). Also, I bought both a denim blue pair and a black/coral pair when ordering. They only sent me a black pair but they charged both. After I had to file a complaint through Amazon, the company agreed to return the missing pair to me. TLDR: Don't waste your money or your feet will regret it.
