Review on 🧡 ThreadNanny Metallic Embroidery Thread Set - 20 Color Polyester Sewing Thread Assortment Kit - Compatible with Top Sewing Machines by Karla Richter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

***** UPDATE, again. I finally mastered this topic. I love it. It is very important that this is a direct feed to your machine. I put it on my car's vertical pin and it rolls up great. I know when I'm done with what I have now I will buy again. A picture of the gold thread used is included. It flowed out of my car so well I didn't have to stand over it. I used a metal needle and slowed the machine down by 1***. I need to update my rating. I wish I could give this metallic filament a 5 star rating but I can't as I think it would be misleading. It's just fun to look at this thread. It has a super metallic sheen. Then again, he's funny (not in a funny way). It is very difficult to use. When using it for embroidery, I sit and guide the thread because of the kinks. If the kinks get into the machine, the thread breaks. If the thread keeps breaking, I get really angry. I bought this whole set and used about 8 colors. The same goes for all threads. I have to sit and keep my hands on the thread. I guess what I'm saying is if you're new to using metallic threads, try a different kind. Good metallics exist. I will buy this thread again because of the great look. (I'll post a photo later). The colors are superb and this is a wonderful deal. I haven't contacted the company, but I probably should. They may have recommendations for best use. I love metallic thread and use it a lot for my machine embroidery projects. This thread can be tricky to use if you cannot adjust the tension on your machine. It has the ability to break.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion
