I love slippers! In winter, our house is cool, so warm clothes and warm, comfortable slippers are required. In that regard, they are at their best and don't look like old ladies' shoes. Two small issues: go one size up (I usually wear a size 10 but these were too short so I had to reorder a size 11 and they are long enough to keep the heel in the shoe). The second small downside is that these slippers are pretty slippery (ha!). They should be good on carpets, but I can slip in on hardwood floors if I want to. So 5 stars for warmth and comfort and minus one star for the wrong size and slippery sole.
