Review on ๐Ÿ’ป HONKYOB USB Mini Speaker: Powerful Stereo Multimedia Speaker for Notebook Laptop PC (Black) by Viswanath Lopez

A specially developed device does what it is supposed to do.

If you know what they are for, they could be the perfect product. They're not designed for gaming sound or a full-fledged solution for audio connoisseurs. This product is designed as a self-contained, streamlined, and convenient way to get acceptable sound from what might not otherwise be possible. This product is cheap. This product is tiny. The unrealistic expectations attached to it are more than absurd. I got this for a very specific setup. I run multiple virtual machines on my desktop for a number of reasons. One of these virtual machines will serve as a metronome and accompany my guitar learning process. I needed a separate audio circuit that could be disabled in an emergency, that could be controlled independently, didn't require complicated setup, and was completely separate from my voice conferencing and other audio applications AND wasn't too loud. This product was PERFECT for that. I needed a sound I could hear, that was fine. THAT'S EXACTLY what I got. I can hear my practice sounds and practice along with midi files. The sound quality is good enough to tell if I'm on or not. It's loud enough for me to hear, but it doesn't drown out my more important incoming audio. I had to install NO DRIVERS on Linux or Windows - both work equally well with it. I bet other operating systems are just as familiar with it. So for me the PERFECT product. I'm not you. We can need very different things. But I wasn't looking for high-end or audiophile quality. I didn't want this to be my only audio system. I wasn't looking for anything very loud. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: 1) Tiny speakers are physically incapable of producing bass. These speakers are tiny. If you expect them to perform as well as regular computer speakers when it comes to sound reproduction, you should be aware that this expectation will not be met and is in fact impossible. 2) There are no buttons or controls on this device. This is intentional and useful in some situations. If you want something with a volume wheel or button, look elsewhere. This was done to eliminate clutter and frills. If you value other features or functionality more than being simple and straightforward, look elsewhere. 3) These speakers depend on your OS for the USB system to work properly. Without a properly working USB bus, they're dead. Only buy these speakers if you're sure your computer's USB systems are working properly.
