This is my second 3D printer. I updated to it because of auto targeting. I'm very glad I didn't just do it for that reason. An assembly is not required. I took it out of the box, looked at the quick start guide, ran the wizard and started typing. It had everything you needed to get started including a roll of PLA, masking tape, a glue stick, two different programs and about 6 different test files. The print quality is excellent right from the start. I have successfully printed both PLA and ABS several times. The only issues I encountered were issues with the print files I downloaded from the web, not the printer itself or the files that came with it. I would recommend this printer to anyone interested in 3D printing, beginner and advanced alike. He's worth his money. During my research, I saw a video by YouTuber DrVax in which he closely compared this printer to a $1,000 Prusa i3. If I'm not mistaken, he also named this printer the best printer under $1000. UPDATE: After using this printer for 6 months, I started having feeding issues. I've contacted customer service multiple times and think we've come full circle without fixing the issue. Now I'm being told to clean the nozzle, which I already reported and pointed out in my first email. I'm still no expert on 3D printing, but I think I know more than he does. UPDATE 2: I completely replaced the nozzle assembly. There was a small semi-successful print and then the same feeding problems. The "Product Specialist" at Monoprice still insists that I clean a BRAND NEW NOZZLE.
