Review on 💧 Advanced Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System by Express by Antonio Bacon

First off, a disclaimer. This system didn't work for me so I can't comment on how well it works. But based on what I read in the manual when I received it I decided not to install this system and returned it. The maintenance seems quite complicated and time consuming. I have a Pelican brand reverse osmosis filter elsewhere in my house that only occasionally needs to swap out two different filter cartridges (and then flush the system). The Express water unit, in addition to replacing all filters, requires a regular extensive cleaning process that appears to involve draining and disassembling the entire unit, cleaning the "inside of the case" with soap and water, and then running the disinfectant through various parts. (I'm not sure what type of sanitizer this is, there's no info in the manual.) It sounded quite labor intensive, and I'm not even sure I could do this type of cleaning in a cramped space where this not the case would be possible. were installed. Another issue is that there doesn't seem to be any specific information on how often filters need to be changed or what replacement filters the company sells with this unit. Neither the manual nor the company website says anything. The information about when the membrane should be changed is also vague ("usually once every 1-2 years”). The Pelican reverse osmosis filter has a significantly higher initial cost than the Express Water, which is what prompted me to order it, but I would rather forego the complex maintenance. Additionally, installing the Pelican is much easier since most of the parts are in one block rather than many individual components. To be fair this can be a great reverse osmosis filter to work with but before you buy you might want to read the manual to see if it's right for you. (I tried this before purchasing, but the product manuals don't seem to be available on the company's website; you may be able to request a PDF from them.)
