I have a couple of Makita tools that run on 2 batteries and they run out quickly. So I never run out of batteries and chargers. I'm always happy about another charger. From the box it looks like a well made Makita charger, all sorts of shades of blue. Most people probably wouldn't even know if it wasn't real. Not that it matters, just said it was a nice machine. Battery plugged in and charging started. There was a bar on the battery gauge and the charger says it's 4%. So I can't say if the percentage is correct. Will have to do a few more tests. One minor thing, it's odd that there are 3 copies at a red light, not sure if it's easy to tell which one is on. It doesn't bother me, I just plug the batteries into the charger and take them out when they're done. You don't have to be exact. This is a good charger at a fair price, I recommend it.
