
I am testing the suggested settings with ice and water. This is correct from 1/2 degree. Tonight I tried it on a 1-inch porterhouse and 1-1/2-inch beef tenderloin in a skillet. It said my steak was 170 degrees which meant it was overcooked. I took it, it was med rare. That means about 127 degrees. My beef tenderloin said it was 150 degrees. When I cut it open, the flesh was bloody. Rarely. I will not buy again. To return later.
